Chai Granita

A magical harmony of sweet and spicy flavors with a unique twist of our classic blend black tea to reinvigorate your taste buds.


  • 8 Tetley® Classic Blend Tea bags
  • 1 1/2 quarts boiling water
  • 6 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 teaspoons ground cardamom
  • 3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 2 cups evaporated milk
  • 3 cups whipped cream
  • Ground cinnamon for garnish


  • In ceramic teapot or heatproof container, pour boiling water over tea bags.
  • Add sugar and spices and stir well.
  • Let steep 5 minutes, then add milk.
  • Continue steeping until cooled to room temperature.
  • Remove tea bags.
  • Pour mixture into 9"x 13" baking pans.
  • Freeze for 30 minutes and then break up partially frozen mixture with a fork.
  • Return to freezer for another 30 minutes and break up again.
  • Repeat process twice more.
  • To serve, scrape off pieces with a fork into wide glasses.
  • Top each service with 2 tablespoons whipped cream and sprinkle with cinnamon for garnish.
  • Serves 12.
